Motorola Unveils Enhanced Moto G and Moto G Power with Bigger Displays and Enhanced Features
Motorola has announced the latest versions of its Moto G and Moto G Power, refreshing the affordable smartphone line with larger screens and improved specifications. The newly unveiled 5G devices feature displays that are slightly enlarged compared to their predecessors, measuring 6.7 inches and 6.8 inches, respectively. These screens offer high-brightness capabilities reaching 1,000 nits to enhance visibility under bright sunlight and come equipped with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and transitions.
Performance and Audio Upgrades
The Moto G 2025 and Moto G Power 2025 bring notable audio improvements with Dolby Atmos support, bass boost technology, and hi-res audio, enhancing the listening experience for media consumption. Both models are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and are equipped with a robust 5,000 mAh battery, ensuring long-lasting use.
Unique Features and Pricing
Priced at $200, the Moto G 2025 comes with a 50MP main camera, Gorilla Glass 3, and a water-repellent IP52 rating. It is offered in forest gray and sapphire blue, featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, expandable via microSD to 1TB.
Meanwhile, the Moto G Power doubles both the RAM and base storage of the Moto G, comes with Gorilla Glass 5 instead of 3 for improved durability, and offers more robust water protection with an IP68/69 rating. It is priced at $300 and available in leaf green and slate gray.
Availability
The Moto G 2025 will be on sale at select US retailers starting January 30, with the Moto G Power set to follow a week later on February 6. Buyers in Canada will have to wait until May 2 to get their hands on these devices, both of which will feature Android 15 straight out of the box.
