Fortnite Festival Transforms with Local Multiplayer: A New Era for Rock Band Fans
Fortnite Festival is expanding its horizons by introducing a local multiplayer feature, allowing up to four players to enjoy the game on the same screen via PlayStation and Xbox consoles starting January 14th. This new mode mirrors the dynamic of the popular music video game, Rock Band, and invites users to play along with real songs, adding a fresh layer of interactive entertainment.
Previously, players could only engage with Fortnite Festival's multiplayer online. The addition of local multiplayer aims to revive those vibrant Rock Band gatherings, creating a nostalgic yet contemporary gaming experience. However, there's a significant caveat: Fortnite Festival currently supports only certain Rock Band guitar controllers. This means players in control of vocals or drums have to use regular controllers, marking a limitation for some enthusiasts.
Epic Games has yet to confirm when additional support for drum kits or microphones might be integrated into the gaming experience. This leaves some players anticipating more comprehensive gaming compatibility in future updates.
The inclusion of local multiplayer is part of the season 7 update of Fortnite Festival. Rumors suggest that the virtual pop sensation, Hatsune Miku, could be the featured artist of the season. Epic Games has hinted at her possible inclusion, stirring excitement within the gaming community.
