Boardy AI Secures $8M Seed Funding Following Early Success
Months after securing a $3 million pre-seed investment, the AI networking startup Boardy has successfully closed an $8 million seed funding round, spearheaded by Creandum.
Connecting People through AI
Boardy has introduced an innovative approach to professional networking. The company's AI agent engages with users by making phone calls, connecting them with people they are likely to benefit from knowing. Since October, when Boardy first announced its launch and pre-seed phase, Co-founder and CEO Andrew D'Souza reported facilitating over 10,000 phone conversations. Impressively, more than 9,000 of these calls have resulted in successful connections, assisting startups in forging crucial partnerships and securing investments.
Organic Investor Interest
D'Souza commented on the organic growth of interest from investors, highlighting that potential backers had direct experiences with the product before even engaging with him or the team. "They spoke with Boardy directly before speaking with me or anyone on the team," D'Souza mentioned in an email interview.
Notable Contributors in the Funding Round
The seed funding round also witnessed contributions from notable figures such as Andy Dunn, Leah Brusque, and Andrew Yeung, marking a significant milestone for Boardy's growth trajectory.
